If you wipe off what you painted it goes thru the drywall into the wood. We will be redoing that as well out of our own pocket. The building process was a complete disaster. We did a construction loan paid full amount of down payment in January 2016. They did not start building my house till April. It was not finished till September 2016.
A plumber found loads of drywall shoved down in the tub drain. Of course this company offered no apology for anything. Really upset that company isn’t responsible for installation of A/C unit. How could we prevent the pipes rubbing together due to vibration of the machine causing a hole to leak out coolant. My husband and I have called this house the Money Pit. Initially we were told the deposit was refundable. However I am happy to report that Dolly and Highland Homes refunded our earnest money deposit after they sold the Prosper home we were going to buy. Now that they are selling the home to another buyer and a higher price, we just want our deposit returned that is rightfully owed to us. We have explained all of this to the sales rep of Highland Homes in Prosper, and she has continued to refuse to return the money.

We were in discussions with the Highland Rep to sign a new contract when the sales rep contracted with another buyer instead. It has been uncovered that we have been lied to and deceived numerous times throughout this process. Highland Hills is a gated community with only 35 single family homes available and offering the conveniences of one of the fastest growing areas on Florida´s west coast.
I have addressed several issues currently of the built with drywall left with holes and covered up with molding which has been done without the flooring placed. Damaged kitchen cabinets, rotten & cracked wood placed where the faucets go. This will become problematic with all the rain we get in Florida. Tiles installed without covering the tub where debris is left that will cause drain issues.
